Referral Program Terms
1. Scope, parties and acceptance
1.1 These Referral Program Terms (the "Referral Terms") govern the Plumex referral program described in the App (the "Program"). They supplement the Plumex Multi-Party Terms of Use (the "Main Terms"). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Main Terms.
1.2 Plumex is a brand and technology platform, not a legal person. Plum Labs s.r.o. ("Plum Labs", "we", "us" or the "Program Operator") operates the Program as part of the Platform Agreement. Plum Labs is responsible for referral attribution, Program calculations, the Program interface and arranging the credit of valid Referral Rewards.
1.3 The provider responsible for a Card, a Supported Balance, custody, exchange, fiat or payment functionality remains the provider identified in the Main Terms, the applicable service schedule and the App. Plum Labs does not provide those underlying services merely because it operates the Program, and these Referral Terms do not change any provider allocation in the Main Terms.
1.4 By accepting these Referral Terms, using a Referral Link or Referral Code, inviting another person, or claiming a Referral Reward after these Referral Terms are presented to you, you agree to be bound by them. Participation is voluntary.
1.5 The Program is available only where it is shown as active in the App and where the relevant Account, Card, Supported Balance and related services are lawfully available to both the Referrer and the Invitee. A Program feature shown in one country or service configuration may not be available in another.
1.6 For Program-specific matters, these Referral Terms prevail over general marketing, frequently asked questions and other general descriptions. For the underlying Card, Supported Balance or other service, the applicable provider-specific terms prevail. Mandatory law always prevails.
2. Definitions
2.1 Account means your personal Plumex platform account.
2.2 App means the Plumex mobile application operated by Plum Labs.
2.3 Available Reward means a Referral Reward that has been validly accrued in the Program record and is available to be included in a claim, subject to these Referral Terms.
2.4 Card means an eligible card made available through the App by the responsible provider.
2.5 Cardholder means an Invitee whose card purchase is assessed under the Program.
2.6 Eligible Card Transaction means a genuine purchase that satisfies section 5 and results in a Qualifying Card Trade.
2.7 Invitee means a new eligible user whose Account is attributed to a Referrer through a valid Referral Link or Referral Code.
2.8 Level means the position of a Referrer above a Cardholder in the Referral Network: L1, L2 or L3.
2.9 Program Revenue Amount means a transaction-specific contractual amount used solely to calculate Referral Rewards. It is determined by the Program Operator from the recorded economic characteristics of the relevant qualifying card settlement, including the settlement value, settlement route, relevant currencies and rate information recorded at settlement, using the Program parameters then in force. The calculation is applied consistently to transactions having the same relevant characteristics. The Program Revenue Amount may be zero and does not represent the Program Operator’s accounting profit, net or gross income, fee or third-party rebate.
2.10 Qualifying Card Trade means the internal card-settlement trade created for a settled card purchase through an eligible internal conversion route and classified by the Program as eligible.
2.11 Referral Code / Referral Link means the unique code or link issued through the App to attribute a new user to a Referrer.
2.12 Referral Network means the recorded chain of valid referral relationships between users.
2.13 Referral Reward / Reward means the amount of USDC calculated for an eligible Level under section 6.
2.14 Referrer means an eligible user whose Referral Code or Referral Link is validly attributed to an Invitee.
2.15 Supported Balance means the eligible USDC balance made available through the App by the responsible provider.
2.16 USDC means the supported crypto-asset identified as USDC in the App and used as the Reward Asset under the Program.
3. Eligibility
3.1 To participate as a Referrer and to claim a Reward, you must:
- be an individual aged 18 or over and use the Account only in your own name and for your own benefit;
- have an active personal Account and have completed the identity-verification steps required in the App;
- be resident and actually located in a country where the Program and the required services are available;
- have an Account that is not closed or subject to a restriction that prevents Program participation or Reward crediting; and
- comply with the Main Terms, these Referral Terms and the applicable Card and Supported Balance terms.
3.2 An Invitee must be a genuinely new eligible user, register through a valid Referral Link or enter a valid Referral Code as permitted by the App, complete required verification, obtain access to an eligible Card and complete an Eligible Card Transaction. No Reward is paid for registration, verification or card ordering alone.
3.3 There is no separate payment, subscription or entry fee to receive or use a Referral Code or Referral Link. Fees for an underlying Card, transaction or other service, if any, are governed separately and are not a fee for the opportunity to participate in the Program.
3.4 The Program is for personal referrals. Commercial affiliates, influencers, introducers, employees or other professional promoters may participate only under a separate written agreement expressly approved by Plum Labs.
4. Referral attribution and network
4.1 A referral relationship is created only when the App successfully records a valid Referral Code or Referral Link for an eligible new user. If more than one code or link is presented, the first valid attribution accepted by the system applies, subject to correction of an evident system error.
4.2 A referral attribution may not be sold, transferred, exchanged, added retroactively after registration, or changed at a user's request. You must not refer yourself, an Account you control, a duplicate Account, or an Account created using false or borrowed identity information.
4.3 Each eligible user may become a Referrer by receiving a Referral Code or Referral Link in the App. The Referral Network is calculated upward from the Cardholder for each Eligible Card Transaction.
Level | Who receives | Share of Program Revenue Amount | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
L1 | The user who directly invited the Cardholder | 20% | Paid if an eligible L1 exists. |
L2 | The L1 recipient's direct referrer | 20% | Paid if an eligible L2 exists. |
L3 | The L2 recipient's direct referrer | 10% | Paid if an eligible L3 exists. |
4.4 Only the three closest eligible Levels above the Cardholder may receive a Reward. A user at L4 or deeper receives no Reward from that Cardholder's transaction. The three-Level window moves with each Cardholder, so an earlier Referrer may receive less than a Referrer who is closer to the Cardholder.
4.5 If a Level does not exist or is ineligible, its share is not redistributed to another Level. The total paid for a transaction may therefore range from zero to 50% of the Program Revenue Amount, depending on which Level shares are present and eligible.
5. Eligible Card Transactions
5.1 A card purchase is an Eligible Card Transaction only if all of the following are satisfied:
- the Cardholder and the relevant Referrer are eligible under section 3 at the applicable time;
- the purchase is genuine, authorised and finally settled;
- the purchase creates a Qualifying Card Trade in the Program's settlement records;
- the Program has the settlement data and rate information needed for the calculation; and
- the purchase is not excluded under section 5.3 or section 10.
5.2 A card authorisation, pending card entry or displayed transaction is not enough. Eligibility is determined after settlement. A delayed, missing or stale rate may delay calculation and catch-up processing; it is not automatically treated as a zero-rate transaction.
5.3 The following do not generate a Reward:
- registration, identity verification, card ordering or card activation;
- a user-initiated crypto-asset swap, exchange, transfer, deposit, withdrawal or other non-card transaction;
- a card purchase that settles without a Qualifying Card Trade, including a direct 1:1 route against a USD-denominated stablecoin balance;
- a declined, cancelled, reversed, refunded, duplicated, charged-back, disputed, unauthorised, fraudulent or test transaction;
- cash withdrawals, cash-equivalent or quasi-cash activity, card funding, money transfer, gambling or other categories excluded in the App or applicable Card terms;
- an artificial, circular, collusive or non-economic transaction designed primarily to generate a Reward; or
- a transaction completed before the referral attribution was validly recorded or after the Program ceased to apply to the relevant user.
5.4 Two purchases with the same merchant currency, the same displayed amount or the same Cardholder may produce different Program results, including no Reward at all, because the underlying settlement route and other calculation factors may differ. The Program uses the actual recorded route and data, not an estimate based only on the merchant or the displayed transaction amount.
6. Reward calculation
6.1 For each Eligible Card Transaction, the Program determines the Program Revenue Amount in accordance with section 2.9 and the Program parameters applicable when the relevant transaction settles, and then calculates the Referral Reward for each eligible Level as the applicable Level share (20%, 20% or 10%) of that Program Revenue Amount. Across all three Levels, no more than 50% of the Program Revenue Amount is distributed as Referral Rewards.
6.2 The Reward is not a fixed percentage of the Cardholder’s spending and is not derived from the amount displayed as charged to the Cardholder. The Program Revenue Amount depends on a number of factors, which may include the merchant transaction currency, the currency and route through which the purchase is settled, the country and service configuration applicable to the Cardholder, the conversion rates captured at settlement, and the Program parameters in force at that time. Two purchases of the same displayed amount may therefore generate different Rewards, or no Reward at all.
6.3 No Program Revenue Amount arises, and no Reward is generated, where the settled purchase does not create a Qualifying Card Trade. This applies even if the Program Operator or another provider may receive other revenue connected with that purchase.
6.4 The Program Revenue Amount is a standardised contractual calculation. It is not a statement of actual accounting revenue, gross or net profit, a card fee, a spread, hedging result or a third-party revenue share. Actual accounting results may differ because of provider settlement, timing, exchange-rate movement, hedging, rounding and other accounting factors.
6.5 Calculations are performed at system precision. Amounts displayed in the App may be rounded for presentation, while the claim amount is based on the Program record at the available ledger precision. Small differences may therefore arise between a manual calculation using displayed figures and the credited amount.
6.6 The Program Operator does not disclose proprietary provider economics, internal pricing components or detailed settlement calculations. Reward calculations are determined from the Program records and the Program parameters applicable when the relevant transaction settles. No minimum Reward is promised. The current published Program parameters are set out in Schedule 1. Additional calculation factors are described in sections 2.9 and 6.2 and are subject to the change controls in section 12.
7. Accrual, display and claim
7.1 A Reward may be accrued after the relevant card purchase has settled and the Program has successfully completed the calculation. Processing is transaction-based, but no fixed accrual time is guaranteed. A delayed calculation may be completed later through reconciliation or catch-up processing.
7.2 The App may display aggregate referral counts for L1, L2 and L3, total Rewards earned, Available Rewards and Rewards already claimed. The App is not required to provide a transaction-by-transaction Reward history.
7.3 Before a successful claim, an Available Reward is a contractual promotional entitlement recorded in the Program. It is not a separate wallet balance, client asset, bank deposit, segregated fund or amount held on trust, and it does not earn interest.
7.4 You may submit a claim when your Available Rewards reach at least 1.00 USDC. A claim requests the entire Available Reward balance determined by the server at the time the claim is processed; partial claims are not supported.
7.5 A claim is subject to current identity verification, Account eligibility, security and compliance controls. If the Program records are incomplete or inconsistent, the claim may be held pending reconciliation rather than processed partially.
7.6 On successful processing, Plum Labs will arrange for the Reward to be credited to your Supported Balance. From that point, the Reward forms part of the supported USDC balance and is governed by the terms of the provider responsible for that balance.
7.7 An Available Reward does not expire solely because time passes while your Account remains open and eligible. Treatment of an Available Reward during account closure, a legal restriction or an unresolved security or compliance review is governed by these Referral Terms, the Main Terms and mandatory law.
8. Reversals, corrections and records
8.1 If an underlying purchase is cancelled, reversed, refunded, charged back, duplicated, found to be unauthorised or otherwise ceases to satisfy section 5, the related Reward is invalid. We may cancel an unclaimed Reward or correct a previously claimed Reward to the extent permitted by law and the applicable balance terms.
8.2 A correction may be made by reversing an erroneous credit, setting it off against future Rewards, or requesting repayment where no other lawful correction method is available. We will provide the general reason for a material adverse correction unless disclosure is restricted by law, fraud prevention or security requirements.
8.3 We may correct duplicate, misattributed or mathematically erroneous Program records. A later change to Program parameters will not retroactively reduce a valid Available Reward, except where the original record resulted from error, transaction reversal, fraud, manipulation or material breach.
8.4 The Program uses referral-attribution records, settlement records, route information, rate snapshots and calculation records to determine eligibility and amount. Those records are evidence of the calculation, but you may challenge an apparent error through the complaints process in section 15.
8.5 We may conduct periodic reconciliation and add a valid Reward that was missed because of a processing failure. A catch-up credit remains subject to the eligibility and parameter rules that applied when the underlying transaction settled.
9. Permitted referral communications
9.1 Unless Plum Labs approves otherwise in writing, you may share your Referral Link or Referral Code only in personal communications and through your own unpaid, organic social-media channels. You are the sender and are responsible for complying with applicable advertising, privacy, electronic-communications and consumer-protection laws.
9.2 You must communicate accurately and in your own name. You must not state or imply that you are an employee, agent, authorised representative, regulated intermediary, partner or official affiliate of Plumex, Plum Labs or any service provider.
9.3 You may use only current Program descriptions and approved materials made available in the App. You must not promise a guaranteed Reward, income, investment return, fixed percentage of card spending, fixed processing time or unrestricted availability.
9.4 You must send referral communications only to people who may lawfully receive them and must stop contacting a person who asks you to stop. Bulk messaging, automated distribution, scraping contact details and unsolicited spam are prohibited.
10. Prohibited conduct and Program abuse
10.1 You must not:
- create, control or arrange duplicate, fictitious, synthetic or nominee Accounts;
- refer yourself or coordinate with another person to conceal common control of Accounts;
- buy, sell, exchange or charge another person for a Referral Code, Referral Link or place in a Referral Network;
- manufacture, split, cycle, refund or reverse card purchases primarily to create Rewards;
- use false, misleading or incomplete statements about Plumex, any provider, the Program or the likely Reward;
- use paid advertising, search-engine brand bidding, sponsored placement, public coupon-code directories or other commercial promotion without a separate written agreement;
- register or use a domain name, social-media account, app, business name or advertisement that includes or imitates a Plumex or provider trademark in a way that suggests official status;
- target a country, person or category for which the Program or the relevant service is not available;
- use scripts, bots, vulnerabilities, data scraping or other technical means to manipulate attribution, transactions, calculations or claims; or
- interfere with a review, submit false evidence or attempt to obtain another user's personal or transaction data.
10.2 Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, manipulation or material Program abuse, we may temporarily suspend a Referral Code, accrual, claim or related Reward while we review the facts. Protective action will be proportionate to the identified risk and may be coordinated with the provider responsible for the affected service.
10.3 If abuse or material breach is established, we may invalidate affected referrals or Rewards, correct related credits, disable the Referral Code, end Program participation and exercise rights available under the Main Terms. Where permitted, we will communicate the general basis and available complaint route.
11. Privacy and confidentiality of referral data
11.1 The Program processes data needed to attribute referrals, maintain the three-Level Referral Network, calculate Rewards, process claims, prevent abuse, reconcile records and handle support or complaints. Processing is governed by the Plumex Privacy Notice and the role allocation stated in the Main Terms.
11.2 To protect other users, the App will not disclose to you another user's identity, purchase amount, merchant, location, transaction reference, Supported Balance, detailed Reward source or other transaction history. You may receive only aggregate Level counts and aggregate Reward amounts.
11.3 You have no right to obtain another user's personal or transaction data in order to independently reproduce a Reward calculation. If you dispute a Reward, we will review the relevant internal records and may explain the applicable rule without disclosing protected information.
11.4 Do not upload or send another person's identity documents, account credentials, payment details or other unnecessary personal data when making a referral or complaint. You remain responsible for the lawfulness of any contact information you use outside the App.
12. Changes to the Program
12.1 We may change the Program or Schedule 1 prospectively for a valid reason, including a change in law, regulatory requirement, provider or Card arrangement, settlement route, fraud pattern, security risk, technical design, Reward economics, asset support or country availability.
12.2 We will give reasonable advance notice of a material adverse change where reasonably practicable, through the App, email or another durable electronic method. An immediate change, restriction or suspension may be necessary for law, sanctions, fraud, security, provider failure or urgent operational risk.
12.3 A change applies to transactions settling after its effective time unless the notice expressly states a more favourable treatment. We will not retrospectively reduce a valid Available Reward solely because Program parameters later change.
12.4 If a change requires your acceptance, you may be required to accept updated Referral Terms before continuing to invite users or claim new Rewards. Continued use after the notified effective date may constitute acceptance where permitted by law and clearly stated in the notice.
12.5 A material change to the Program calculation methodology that is reasonably expected to reduce Rewards for otherwise comparable qualifying transactions is treated as a change to the Program under this section and applies prospectively.
13. Suspension, termination and account closure
13.1 You may stop participating at any time by no longer sharing your Referral Link or Referral Code. Existing referral attribution and valid Rewards remain subject to these Referral Terms and the Main Terms.
13.2 We may suspend or discontinue the Program in a country, for a service configuration or generally for the valid reasons in section 12. New transactions settling after the stated termination time do not generate Rewards unless the termination notice states otherwise.
13.3 Program discontinuation does not by itself cancel a valid Available Reward. We will provide a reasonable method or period to claim or otherwise deal with valid Available Rewards, subject to Account eligibility, corrections, legal restrictions and the terms of the Supported Balance provider.
13.4 Account restriction or closure may prevent new accruals or temporarily prevent a claim. Before voluntarily deleting an Account, you should claim any Available Reward and resolve pending matters where possible. The Main Terms and account-closure process govern the treatment of remaining balances and records.
13.5 Sections concerning calculations, corrections, records, privacy, liability, complaints, governing law and any other provisions intended by their nature to survive continue after Program participation ends.
14. Risk, tax and nature of the Reward
14.1 A Referral Reward is a promotional incentive. It is not salary, commission for regulated intermediation, interest, a deposit, an investment product, investment advice, a partnership distribution or a promise of profit. Participation does not create employment, agency, franchise, joint venture, fiduciary or professional affiliate status.
14.2 USDC is a crypto-asset. It may lose its reference value, become illiquid or unsupported, and is not a bank deposit. Unless mandatory law or applicable provider terms expressly state otherwise, a Referral Reward is not covered by a bank-deposit guarantee, investor-compensation scheme or government guarantee.
14.3 You are responsible for determining and meeting any tax, reporting, accounting or social-contribution obligations arising from a Reward. We or the responsible provider may withhold or report an amount where legally required.
14.4 We do not guarantee that an Invitee will register, become eligible, obtain a Card, spend, use a qualifying settlement route or generate any Reward. We also do not guarantee a minimum Reward, a fixed accrual time or continued availability of the Program.
15. Responsibility, support and complaints
15.1 Plum Labs must operate the Program with the care required by the Platform Agreement and applicable law. The responsibility and liability provisions in the Main Terms apply to the Program, including the protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15.2 To the extent permitted by law, Plum Labs is not responsible for an anticipated Reward that never became valid because the Invitee, transaction, referral attribution, settlement route or Level did not meet these Referral Terms. This does not exclude responsibility for a Reward lost because of Plum Labs' breach or failure to exercise legally required care.
15.3 General Program support is available at support@plumex.io. Complaints may be submitted to complaints@plumex.io. Include your Account reference, the approximate date of the issue, the amount shown in the App and the resolution requested. Do not send passwords, private keys, seed phrases or one-time codes.
15.4 A complaint about the Program will be handled under the complaints provisions in the Main Terms and routed to the responsible provider where it concerns an underlying Card or Supported Balance service. You retain any mandatory right to use a court, regulator, data-protection authority or other competent body.
16. General provisions
16.1 The Platform Agreement and these Referral Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or a forum that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude.
16.2 If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or severed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions continue in effect.
16.3 A delay in exercising a right is not a waiver. A waiver applies only to the specific matter for which it is given.
16.4 You may not assign or transfer your Program rights or Referral Network position. Plum Labs may transfer the Platform Agreement and Program administration as part of a lawful restructuring or provider replacement, subject to the notice and mandatory-right protections in the Main Terms.
16.5 The English version is the governing version except where mandatory law or the Main Terms provide that another language version prevails for a particular service route.
SCHEDULE 1 - CURRENT PROGRAM PARAMETERS
This Schedule forms part of the Referral Terms. It applies from the date the Program is activated for you, subject to any later prospective change notified under section 12.
Core parameters
Parameter | Current rule | Operational meaning |
|---|---|---|
Reward Asset | USDC | A successful claim is credited to the supported USDC balance. |
Claim Threshold | 1.00 USDC | The full Available Reward balance may be claimed once it reaches the threshold. |
Referral Levels | L1 20%; L2 20%; L3 10% | Each percentage is applied to the Program Revenue Amount for the relevant Cardholder transaction. |
Missing Levels | Not reallocated | If one or more levels do not exist or are ineligible, their shares are not paid to another level. |
Accrual Point | After transaction settlement | Authorisation, card ordering, registration and verification alone do not generate a Reward. |
Time Expiry | None solely by passage of time while the Account remains open and eligible | Corrections, reversals, restrictions and account-closure rules still apply. |
